Well here I am sitting in Prison.

No not what you think, I am supposed to be working but they (Prisoners) having lunch/exercise or locked up.
It is now 12 noon Thursday 24/8/2017

Had a few hectic weeks lately.

Lots of visitors and more to come this weekend.

eventually managed to send letter to Sandy in Canada, think he can still read them.

He has been fighting ill health these last few years and it seems that he has been given a rather sad prognosis.
This may be his last year on earth. Funny saying that as we do not actually leave the earth when we die do we.
We sort of hang about but without any input or output.

That is why we should choose to enjoy our life while we can.
Bit morbid I know.

Well this diet that Barbara and I are currently on certainly makes you hungry.

Time for a cuppa soup.

See you later.

Where has the time went.

I am waiting for the washing machine to finish. I was thinking of hanging the towels out to dry but it could rain later.

I hope to get myself a free lucky dip for tonights lottery and I feel that this may be a winner; not sure how I will divide all the millions out. Got it I will get everyone half a Kit Kat and some good coffee then they can enjoy them on Sunday afternoon.

See you all later.

2015 and all that

Been a busy year so far; Hamish is now 1 year old Archie is 5 and going to school I am 65 now but still working Barbara should have been retired and receiving her pension but these ******* bankers have ******it up for folk like us.
So Barbara now has to work for another 6 years to "enjoy" the fruits of her labour.
Hollie is now 3 years old Jessica has reached 10 and Aedan will be 14 years old.
Our nephew Jack and his Girlfriend Aggie graduated from Aberdeen University. He is then heading to New Zealand for 6 months. But not after Mark and Isla get married.
Mark and Isla are to be married this year at Meldrum House which we are looking forward to this and it should be a great day.
I had a good Birthday in January went to Albert's hotel and had a good meal with family and friends.
Barbara had her special birthday even tho she just wanted a quiet holiday in Tenerife. No fun in that and she would moan anyway if she didn't get a cake. We went to Palace Hotel and another good evening was had by family and friends..
Barbara and I are heading to the Darts championships in Glasgow at end of July then on 1st August we are going to Tim Kitchins restaurant in Edinburgh which were both birthday presents I had recieved for my Birthday.
Soon in middle of August Barbara ; Sandra; Dave and I will be heading to USA. Visiting San Francisco; Las Vegas and then New York. This should be an excellent holiday. First time in USA.
For our 40th Anniversary Lynn has arranged for the three of us to head to Dubai we have never been there either.
So for now I suppose I should just finish.

Went to purchase a few 1st class stamps; 60 pence each now you know. Bloody 12 shillings for a stamp. 12 bob. Back in the day I could get 48 stamps for 12 shillings. Decimilisation; biggest con ever and we accepted it with nye a whimper. Anyway back to the purchase none of the shops have 1st class stamps. Now I have to head back into town to get my stamps. Never mind it is a lovely September day.

Aff work.

Well here I am entering my second week off work. I did not intend to be off it sort of crept up on me.
We were enjoying a cruise with friends when I took "a bit oh a turn" the day before we were due home.

I just dozed up on pain killers and carried on. It was Venice after all. Never set a foot on there so I said to myself to hell with this lets do it.

We had a good day tho even tho I was a pain in the neck always wanting to keep moving because this sort of helps ease the pain.

Well we did get through the day and got back on the ship with no complications.

We arrived back in Peterhead on the Sunday night and on the Monday I managed to get an appointment for that morning.

So I had to get a series of tests which came back abnormal and that is why I am sitting here writing this thing up.

Another appointment with the Doc on the 4th October 2013 so hopefully will find out more.

I am now on 5 different type of pills 2 for pain, 1 for cholesterol, and 2 for heart/blood pressure.

Hopefully I will be back to work soon, I cannot get used to this being at home.

Is this what retirement is like???
